Greetings, Beloved Community at Ewha. It gives me such great joy that for my first time as President of the Foundation, we will be gathering in Southern California. Even though I traveled all over and to the campus many times over the years, my home for the last twenty years has been Pasadena, California. The Southern California Alumnae Association (LA) host all the United Chapters, and I am so excited about this.
Since we have had to meet virtually for two years during the pandemic, I am especially ha that we plan to meet face to face.
The last time I was with you face to face was in Bellevue, Washington, and that was a wonderful meeting. Our Southern California chapter has worked really hard to prepare for this. And we always have beautiful weather here. In case some of cannot come for face to face please, join us virtually. It is always good to be together in whatever way we can.
It has been a privilege to work on the Foundation board with Marc Mullinax as President. I ha so appreciated his spirit and commitment. And he will continue on the board so maybe we can honor him at this meeting. I love how he once reminded us to reflect on how far we have con because of some influential person and how we alums and donors might become champions for others. Yes, indeed! Let us continue the amazing witness for a grand university and provide hope for a future generation of women leaders.
